SEEwater, Inc. Oil Smart® Products

OVERVIEW

SEEwater, Inc. is a California company that specializes in the manufacturer of the Oil Smart® Pump Controller (OSPC) and Oil Smart® Alarm (OSA). Its patented technology has yielded significant environmental and economic benefits by preventing the discharge of oil in dewatering  pumping operations. The OSPC is totally encapsulated, Ignition protected, CE certified, and listed as UL Industrial Motor Equipment 508. The Bureau of Veritas (EC) lists the OSPC as an oil containment device. The OSPC is completely watertight, impervious to all substances common to water sumps or utility vaults. SEEwater, Inc. also manufactures CSA certified alarm systems, simplex, and duplex control panels in conjunction with the OSPC. All Oil Smart® products manufactured by SEEwater, Inc. satisfy state and federal codes for the prevention of oil spills, including the Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plan issued by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Oil Smart® Pump Controller THIRD PARTY TESTED

UL FILE MQ1502: “Switches were all operated as intended for 100,000 “On-Off” cycles while connected to 100 percent of nominal voltage and operated satisfactorily with motor loads of full load rated amps”. “Switches were all subjected to 50 cycles of On and Off in 50% oil and 50% water and operated satisfactorily as manufacturer claimed in installation instructions”.

Oil Smart® Pump Controller OPERATION

Sensing is accomplished by measuring the dielectric constant of the medium at the sensor.  To prevent cycling the pump off and on, the sensor has two sense points, one to control the water level for pump turn on and one to control the point to turn the pump off.  The separation of these two points are controlled by two independent sensors that connect to a logic circuit that works as follows: when the water level reaches the top sensor the pump will turn on and pump until the lower sensor is uncovered, at this time the pump will turn off and stay off until the top sensor is again covered by water.

Oil Smart® Alarm System THIRD PARTY TESTED

ZOELLER PUMP CO: Tested the Oil Smart® Alarm System over 1,000,000 cycles without failure. Each cycle consisted of the Liquid Smart® Alarm Switch being submerged down through oil into water and back up through oil.

Oil Smart® Alarm System OPERATION

The Oil Smart® Alarm is controlled by the Liquid Smart® Alarm Switch. The Liquid Smart® Alarm Switch will activate the external horn and the high level red beacon light if any liquid is present, simultaneously indicating if oil or water is present.
