SMART WATER PUMP DC SWITCH
INSTALLATION
The
SEEwater®, Water Pump Switch is
a stand alone unit or can be
installed directly to the pump.
(Use of strap to mount switch
directly to pump is not
evaluated by Underwriters
Laboratory). It is essential
that the lower sensing area of
the unit be kept clear of any
metallic surface or object.
WIRING To
prevent corroded wire
connections, be sure to use
adhesive filled heat shrink wire
connections to seal all
connections.
Locate wire connections above
the highest possible water
level. Be sure to use the
appropriate wire size from
battery source recommended by
pump manufacturer.
FUSING
Follow
the pump manufacturer's
instructions on fusing.
BLACK WIRE - IN
WHITE WIRE + IN
BROWN WIRE + OUT
Disconnect
voltage source.
Route
and secure all wires as
high as possible above
the water level.
Connect
and crimp the switch
positive (+) red wire to
the positive (+) source.
Connect
and crimp the switch and
pump negative (-) black
wire to the negative (-)
source.
Connect
and crimp the positive
(+) brown wire from
switch to positive (+)
wire of pump.
Use
heat shrink wire
connectors included, or
wires will corrode and
your warranty will be
voided.
Use
heat source to shrink
wire connectors until
adhesive inside melts
and flows out the ends.
Re-connect
the voltage source, hold
your hand or metallic
object over the sensor
area to test pump
operation.
Be
sure that the bottom of
the switch is aligned
above the pump impeller
for proper turn-on and
turn-off operation. If
the switch is installed
too low the pump will
suck air and continue
running until the pump
fails.
